For most adults, coffee is an everyday drink that promotes energy and motivation, but most importantly, it is a drink that revolves around socializing. Coffee is typically loaded with milk and syrups to make an otherwise bitter drink taste better. Something that has always been successful in providing caffeine without hidden added sugars that promotes social get togethers is espresso, known in Italy as caffè.

My family is from Italy, and I lived there for a few months in high school. While I was there, I realized a big aspect of their culture is being social, spending time together, and enjoying espresso. Whenever you go to anyone’s house, even if you have never met them before, the host will immediately start making espresso. It is an activity that cannot be rushed, something that could last five minutes or three hours.

Life in Italy is about taking the time to slow down and be in the moment. This is where “Vita Semplice” came from, meaning simple life.

It permits the user to make coffee in a quick, effective, and enjoyable way, making it easy even for a person has never made it before which allows more time for friends and family, thus allowing a more enjoyable espresso making experience.
